I see his points, but... I don't agree.

I mean, yes, there's less hype about the likes of Mighty Number 9 now. But what do you expect? Hype won't last for the entire development process. Not every minute of the game's development needs to be a popular talking point on the internet.

But what do you think?

Meh, like you said; Hype won't last the entire process of development. However, he also forgets that word-of-mouth will bring a lot of it back upon release. Hell, I'm stoked from its coming out the day before my B-day!

But, then again, this is a guy using the name Gaijin and not even pronouncing the word correctly, so I wouldn't assume he fully researches everything he talks about (though I've seen a couple of his other videos and he CAN do a LOT of research, but always tends to leave points and facts out).

All games lose hype though. Not just kickstarters. I mean look at the new Zelda game for Wii U. It has a lot of hype, but not everyone is talking about it every second on the internet. That's mainly because there's nothing to talk about with it and so it doesn't keep the hype flowing and it lets off until Nintendo mentions it again. So once Yooka-Laylee or Mighty No. 9 comes out, the hype will reach its fullest again. It's just a huge cycle.
