Are there people out there who don't use the time traveling technique (changing the AC Date and time) to play the game? I know it takes so much longer to play, but I find it interesting how it's imitating real life in that fashion. So do you use it? Why and why not?

I don't (currently) so I can get the "full experience" as I've never played AC before this.

I used to time travel on the Animal Crossing version for GameCube but I still wouldn't do it that much. With New Leaf, I've gotten very tempted to, but I refuse to let myself. I want to because it doesn't feel like much is going on, but then again I still have yet to unlock and expand many things and I haven't had the game for no more than about 2 days.

I would be lying if I said no, with that being said, I just wanted to see if you get interest on Bells you deposit.
Granted, it was just for one day but I don't plan on Time Travelling after that.
I want to enjoy the game for what it is.

Nope. That would take all the fun out of it.

Also, you can get an error (code 001-0502) that will prevent your 3DS from getting online to play with others if you do it too often. It happened to me back when I did it just for the play coins a year ago, and I heard that particular code was coming up more often again, likely due to Animal Crossing being out and people time traveling. All in all, I really don't recommend it.

If this is indeed your first AC game, then I congratulate you on not getting tempted on TT. TT WILL ruin the game for new users. Most veteran users swear not to use TT but at one point always tend to use it. (Damn you Xmas,Easter,Valentines,Summer,NEW YEARS EVENTS) Most events tend to be at times when you are enjoying the real life ones and we miss it in the game. So we tend to go back (or forth) in time to enjoy it.

I voted no as, for the most part, I don't time travel. What's the fun in jumping ahead to get stuff faster? That just means you'll run out of things to do faster! What fun is that? I have traveled back in time a few hours a couple of times to pick up a K.K. Slider song on Saturdays when I was out of town or away from my game and missed him.
