Activision to Remaster Call of Duty Games

Activision has responded somewhat on many fans wanting a remastered collection of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Trilogy for PS4 and Xbox One.
 
Game Informer interviewed Activision Publishing CEO, Eric Hirshberg, at E3 2015. They asked him if we could see a remaster for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare trilogy or even older games in the franchise.
 
Hirshberg said that remasters can be great if they are “done well“. He said lot of gamers have a connection to the games “they love from the last cycle“. He also mentioned a lot of gamers want to see the older games being “done right” on the newer cycle of consoles.
 
However, he said there is always an “opportunity cost“, as they don’t want to take away members from the team not working on their newer Call of Duty games. He said it’s “a matter of finding great people to do that work“.
 
Personally, Hirshberg said he would love to revisit Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and the first Black Ops game. However, he said there are “no announcements” but they are thinking of it.

What do you guys think about this? I wish they'd remaster it for the PS3 as well since I'm cheap and don't want to have to purchase the PS4 just to see if the remastered versions are any good.  ^_^  Would you buy the games if they decided to revisit them?

I'm not a fan of remastered versions of games myself they just seem like a waste of time. If you really enjoyed the original so much then play the original game that gave you all the great memories not a revamped version.

meh, with them coming out with new versions every year whats the point?

I feel like they're obviously running out of steam if they have to remaster versions so often. They probably cannot think of a new idea for another Call of Duty. Honestly, I'm fine with just sticking to the old Black Ops; it seems as if they're just trying to milk the cash cow a little too much. However, if I discover that the remastered ones are any good, I might be inclined to try them out.

It's pretty clear people don't want offline CoD games, just online. They should take a page from rocksteady (GTA series) and just make a online game that is updated regularly.

That's good. I suppose, Activiision does need to revamp and remaster things like the old Dragon Ball Z for things to get better and more exciting. When it comes to PS4 and Xbox One, I'm up for that. 
The solution I can give to them for more people who concentrate on the remastering and those who're making the new games is that new people should be recruited. People who've played the game, and are ready to make them better.
