Will we see Natal support in Gears of War 3? Possibly.
Epic Games' Vice President noted in an interview with the Official Xbox Magazine that he thinks all future games the developer and its Unreal engine licensees create could have some sort of Natal functionality.
"I have no idea what we're going to do from a game standpoint, but from an engine standpoint, it's definitely cool stuff and we will support it," Rein said of Natal. "I think any future Xbox games we make will have some Natal support. We always want to have something that exploits the unique capabilities of a platform."
Rein also highlighted the fact the Unreal engine supports Natal, and said as more developers get their hands on the tech, we'll begin to see more unique motion experiences.
"I think everyone will do something that exploits Natal once it's out there and everyone has it. So will people be able to benefit from it? Yes," he said. "And then if they want to make that "oh my god" really cool Natal experience, well, we got the engine for that. I'm pretty psyched about it."
During TGS 2009, Microsoft released a list of companies developing games that are "actively working" on Natal-featured games. The listed included, among others, Capcom, Activision Blizzard, SEGA, and Bethesda Softworks.
