Am I the only person this happens to in Mario Kart 7?

Nothing to do with online or whatever. Something's amiss when it comes to random character decisions in the grand prix for the game. My friends fail to mention anything like it happen to them so I feel as if something's up with the game itself.

Running statitstics, I have confirmed on my game, out of 200 grand prix with all characters unlocked, Toad, no matter what grad prix difficulty or cup was chosen, would always show up. He showed up in all 200 grand prixs I started to test this out. Shy guy and wiggler seem to be the second most common but neither of them appeared every grand prix. No one else stays often for the next grand prix. The other 5 usually are randomized.

That's not all though. 154 games out of the 200, Toad is the supperior AI to the rest usually being in first place most of the time. That's a 100% chance he'll be in any grand prix I go on and approximately 75% chance he'll always be the dominant AI of the group.

Oh, lastly, this doesn't apply to cpu vs or multiplayer vs./grand prix.

No one gets anything similar to results like this?

I've noticed this as well. Not just Toad, but Lakitu as well appears in every GP I've played. He's usually one of the competitive AI's in race.

Doesn't it do that in every Mario Kart game? Or at least recent ones. I swear it does that in Mario Kart Wii. There's one AI that's better than the rest. In my Mario Kart Wii game the dominate AI is Peach.

It used to do it back in Super Mario Kart, based on what character you chose. In those 200 grand prixs or so, have you been using the same character? Try switching it out and seeing what happens.

DYL, I think all the games have a similar thing... though it seems more noticeable in Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart 7. Although I do recall some funky stuff in Mario Kart Wii. Can't really remember.

I noticed in Mario Kart Wii because Peach kept coming in like 2nd and 3rd place chronically, but I didn't think anything of it. I mean even Brawl does that. The more you play, the smarter the AI gets.

The same happens to me in Mario Kart DS. Damn you, Toad, thinking you can just be the best.

Don't forget Mario Kart: Super Circuit. Toad and Wario are always together (well, for me that is..).

I've tried different characters hoping it would switch it up but usually I pick Yoshi. The only thing that makes him not the superior AI is when I pick Toad obviously.
