Online retail giant Amazon has started offering store credit for used games. A trade-in store beta is up and running where you can find out how much your used games are worth and print a label for free shipping. Amazon will credit your account once they receive your package. Games need to be in good condition and in their original boxes.
Browsing some of these trade-in values, it looks like Amazon is offering less in credit than GameStop currently does. A PlayStation 3 copy of Grand Theft Auto 4, for example, is only worth $11. The difference, of course, is that your Amazon credit can be used towards the purchase of any of its thousands and thousands of products -- not just games.
