The Amazon game console sounds interesting.

I wonder would the Amazon Game Console come with a Free Game of the Day like the Amazon App Store which gives away 1 free app for Android each day.

wow, very interesting.

Although my expectations for the console are pretty low.

It maybe a good console for playing older titles which may not be launched for the PS4, and Xbox One, and are not compatible with games from the Xbox 360, PS3, and older generation.

Android and the Amazon App store has a lot of older titles like Crazy Taxi, Final Fantasy 1-3, Grand Theft Auto 3, Rayman, and many more games which may not exist on newer consoles.

I'm guesing there would be a lot of party and casual games for younger kids, and a few more intense games like Shadow gun, Riptide, Asphalt 7, and older console games ported to Amazon console.

Definitely not a good thing. They'll probably have their own video game marketplace as well.

And this comment made me lol "I don't get these Android gaming systems. Seems like such a waste IMO. Sorry to the kids who get these for Christmas."

Kid: *drooling over Wii U, PS4 and Xbox One games* Dad, I want a console for Christmas.
Dad: Here's an Ouya for you :p

I read some info online at a tech blog which says the rumored Amazon Console would also stream video, music, and eBooks from Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu+, and other Straming services with an Android App in the Amazon App Store for Android.

Some of the commenters online think that Amazon could used its recently created Game company to make games for its console, and use the existing Amazon App Store for Android to sell games online for the console.

I think if Amazon sells the console for $99 or less used TV ads and the internet to promote the new console like the Kindle Fire, it could be the 3rd or 4th most popular console since the Kindle Fire was the first $199 high performance tablet made by a big brand. The Amazon Kindle Fire is still one of the best selling tablets when there are already hundreds of other tablets from other brands.

A lot of people like to buy cheap stuff from big brands like the recent $35 Google Chromecast HDMI stick which can stream YouTube, Netflix, Hulu to a regular TV, and the Chromecast is now sold out at many places.

If the Amazon Console is like the Kindle Fire HD which uses the Amazon App Store for Android, the Amazon console would have the second biggest Android Games and Apps store which is behind Google Play which has the most games and apps for Android. But, many of the good games for Android are already on Amazon App store, so there isn't much difference in selection between Google Play and Amazon App store,

I read the upcoming Kindle Fire HD 2 which would be released soon would use the 2GHz Qualcomm  Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2GB RAM, and Adreno 32O Video GPU chip, so it can run all currently available Android games, and apps, and run future apps and games, so if the Amazon Console also use a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2GB RAM and Adreno 320, it should run faster than the Ouya, and other Android/mobile game consoles.

I agree the trend of consoles these days are slow and small for less intensive games.

Although, the Nvidia Shield is one of the fastest mobile handheld consoles. I read the Snapdragon 800 and Adreno 320-330 GPU are faster than the Tegra 4, so if the Amazon Console is like a Kindle Fire HD 2, but without a screen, it should be fast or faster than the Kindle Fire because the console would not have to display video on a screen which is 2560 x 1600 pixels on the Kindle Fire HD 2 8.9 inch model, The console would  instead display video at 720-1080P which is the typical resolution of most HDTVs these days.

The Amazon Console may also get a yearly release like the Kindle Fire, so over time, it could be Small and fast as mobile CPU and GPU increase in speed from last year.
