Downloads from Amazon's Appstore almost assuredly aren't the raging success that the company's ventures like Prime are, but the retail juggernaut isn't giving up on it yet. In fact, the former looks like it's getting an injection of the latter's DNA with something called Unlocked. According to a leak obtained by TechCrunch, Bezos and Co. are experimenting with the idea of offering paid apps and in-app purchases free of charge. I think Amazon knows that people don't like paying for apps, and in-app purchases, so they are giving away apps away for free, and need to find other ways to make money from apps like selling physical products or digital movies and music from within an app.

I wonder would Amazon also give away free PC games, and software for free, and find other ways to make money with PC games, and software,

Amazon most likely is trying to convince users to join Amazon Prime which offer faster delivery for stuff you buy from Amazon's website, and Prime also has access to a lot of digital movies, music, ebooks, and other content.

They may also try to convince you into subscribing to online file storage since a lot of apps use online storage to backup files like photos, documents, and game saves to an internet storage servers.

Amazon has an Amazon Credit Card, and their own online payment system called Amazon Payment. There is also a new Amazon Digital currency called Amazon Coin to use to buy apps and games.

I have their credit card and I'm pleased with the rewards system that comes with it.

I heard their Credit Card is pretty good, but I think it is US-only, so I couldn't get one because I live outside of the US.
