The Android N Developer preview includes support for split-screen mode, allowing you to run two apps in side-by-side windows. But eventually you may be able to run multiple apps in resizeable windows… much the way you can on a Windows, OS X, or Ubuntu computer.

Google calls this mode “freeform,” and makes a slight mention of it in the Android N multi-window documentation. But as Ron Amadeo at Ars Technica notes, it doesn’t look like freeform mode is enabled in the first developer preview.

It's good to know that Android N would have freeform multiwindow support which would be useful for users who have bigger sized Android tablets, or plan to use their Android tablet as a laptop/desktop PC when connected to a TV, or monitor with a HDMI cable, or Chromecast.

Splitscreen is useful for comparing two documents, video, and pictures at once with one screen.

Only useful though if you got a big enough screen.

Something that I probably don't have the money for getting a good enough screen

Seems like these features are pretty much already in the phone I own running Android - LG G3, which already supports split screen but just with limited apps.
