Anime quality degradation

Is it just me, or are we having very similar anime airing these days?

When i said quality, it means in terms of plot and development.

What do you guys think?

Oh yeah, fan service is becoming more of an issue these days. But gems do stand out among the copies though.

I'd say it might have. I used to watch nearly all the anime released each season, aside from the stuff that are obviously aimed at children/girls/perverts, which were the minority.

This season I'll probably only be watching 6-7 out of the 30+ new anime, while in winter 2015 I watched 18 out of 28 (20 out of 30 in winter 2014).

So, either they're getting worse, or I'm getting more picky. I'd vote for the former.
