Any ghosts from the original Luigi's Mansion you think would have worked in Dark Moon?

Personally, I think some of the portrait ghosts would have fit the later mansions quite well.

For example, I think the Clockwork Soldiers would have worked well as a boss in the Old Clockworks for obvious reasons, and that the arctic explorer Sir Weston would have been an interesting opponent in the Secret Mine. Heck, Vincent Van Gore could have fit in Treacherous Mansion pretty well given the whole museum theme it has.

So do you think any portrait ghosts would have worked in Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon's mansions? And if so, which ones?

I was going to suggest the portrait ghosts as well. Can you imagine ScareScraper if you went to search for a key or health only to have a ghost attack. Let the portrait ghosts act as greenies and come out of the portrait and chase you or whatever.

I think it would've worked. A room or mansion full of generic ghosts from the past game would've been nicely done.

I was also hoping for something of the like.

A miniboss which is all 3 of the main old ghosts from the old game (Gold, pink and...blue, i think?) each having 50 HP.

You know, something like the Shroobs in Bowser's Inside Story.

think the best thing they could have possibly done was a reboot of the original mansion, redesigned with new mechanics in mind, complete with all of the original normal ghosts, and Vincent van gore as the boss.

Yeah I was pretty disappointed that there were no portrait ghosts in the game...or anything similar for that matter. Well, there weren't very many types of ghosts to begin with. I dunno but fighting the same couple of ghosts got really old really fast. No, the crystal versions don't count as new ghosts in my book.

Or in mine. And a greenie with a prop is still a greenie.

Of course as you can imagine I would've liked to see ShyGuy ghosts return from the first one. Unfortunately they were created by Vincent Van Gore and he's not in the game so....maybe there could've been different ones? Like the ones in Yoshi's Island? But I prefer their design in Luigi's Mansion.
Well they would've probably worked the same way. You first suck off their masks (like how you suck off sunglasses off of greenies) and then you stun & and suck 'em.

True.

I think the return of that baby ghost would of been cool.

That would be awesome! It'd be so much fun.

:P this conversation only fuels my argument of how repeating something in a game is better to Nintendo then giving a better version of game.. zero reason it could not surpass LM1 with enemy's, let alone things to do sigh.

I love LM.
