Anyone else not bought Pokemon X and Y because of the potential sequels?

Seriously, am I the only one who decided not to buy either version based on the suspicions I raised in this article?

Because I have to say, the thoughts I had when writing the article make me suspicious that Nintendo's planning something new in the sequels that significantly expands gen 6, and the lack of new Pokemon and postgame content makes me feel that the current games are merely just half the content.

It's because of this that I decided not to buy the games, because I don't want to end up in a situation where I buy one of the current gen 6 titles, then find I need to buy a sequel to get the rest of a Pokedex that should have included in its entirety in the first place.

Anyone else doing the same and holding it for the third versions simply to see whether they introduce more 'important' content?

That's why there is always a trade system. I'm just kidding, man. Your argument is valid. I was one of the few (the only one i know, actually) who despised Black and white and refused to buy B/W 2. I wasn't even going to buy the X or Y but I was bored and my friends were all playing it so I grabbed X on day 3. For the first time the story isn't the same as the last 6 gens! There is a moderate amount of post-game things too. But I see your point on it being like an expensive DLC for more storyline and a few more monsters (and probably stones).

Seriously, though, I wouldn't be surprised if some people were holding out for not so much as a sequel but a third edition (like Z rather than a 2).

As for anyone else who wants to get the first game without the second but wants to fill their pokedex and doesn't care about storyline... to you i say: "Gee, if only there was some kind of a community... for Nintendo 3DS... where people could gather and trade with others they met online..." Speaking of which, Nin.,. I used your goo.gl/ ( i forget the exact thing but i had written it down) from your 3DS friend list as my in-game slogan to try and gather more people to the site... I hope that is okay.

I've already bought X, and I believe I'm getting Y for Christmas from someone, but I think you have a point and I'd definitely buy the new games.
