Oh dear. Definitely not the words you want to be saying after releasing the most sought after video-game timeline in history. We all know reaction to the timeline was pretty bad, seeing as many people think Nintendo took the easy way out by using parallel timelines for the games. What do you think?

I agree. It's just a huge backlash from a bunch of people who could never be pleased.
It didn't matter what form the timeline took, when it was revealed there was always going to be a backlash, because there would always be a large number of people for whom the official timeline did not match the one they had constructed in their heads. Unless it matched theirs perfectly (which over the entirety of the fanbase is, of course, impossible, since there were so many different theories) then they would always be unhappy.
 
I would be embarrassed too if the Timeline was a copout.
 
different zeldas. different timelines. Not EVERY game has to be connected. Think of it as OVAs like in animes. the longest one I can piece together is the N64 ones though, for whom it may concern
