APPLE HAS ANNOUNCED an updated iMac desktop machine with a 27in 5120x2880 resolution 5K Retina Display, a screen the firm has dubbed "the world's highest resolution display" due to its 14.7 million pixel count.
Touting seven times more pixels than on a 1080p HD TV and 67 percent more than a 4K display, the iMac with Retina Display also measures just 5mm thin.

Wow, a 5K display. I wonder would 5K be the new video standard, and 4K will not be as popular now that Apple is using a 5K display instead of 4K in their new PCs.

The price is kind of expensive, though.

Eh, I rather not have something that good so close to my eyes. May make them hurt.

It has a 27 inch display, so you can sit farther, or get a bigger desk for using your keyboard and mouse farther away from the screen.

I'm sure there is a way to adjust the size of the picture, so it does not use the full screen space like other LCD monitors where you can change the height and width of the video on the screen in the control panel on the monitor.

I watch on the News that people who watch too much TV, or use computer and tablet screens too much eyes hurt because people don't blink their eyes as much when watching a screen, so their eyes get dry because of not blinking their eyes which cleans the eye of dust, and moisten the eye with tears. It is recommended to take short breaks every 30 minutes when using a PC, or watching a screen.

I think most operating systems like Mac OS X, Windows, some Linux OS like Ubuntu, etc have a text size settings to make the text bigger, so you can sit farther from the screen, and it makes your screen feel like it is closer when you sit farther away because the text is bigger.

Some programs like web browsers, word processors, etc have a enlarge text, and zoom-in feature as well.
