I wonder would Blackberry still make smartphones if Apple buys Blackberry.

Same, I don't want this to happen. Plus, I feel Apple will just shut down Blackberry, and make all Blackberry software like BBM Messaging only work on Apple products like iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and turn future Blackberry phones into iPhones with a physical keyboard, and also stop supporting Android App emulation, and remove access to Amazon App store on older phones.

I also bet Apple will stop supporting Blackberry phones like the Bold, Passport, Leap, etc if Apple buys Blackberry.

I hope this don't happen, they don't need blackberry.

I agree. Apple doesn't need Blackberry.

But, Apple probably wants Blackberry's super rich users who include Obama, Hillary Clinton, the US Government, other Governments who use Blackberry smartphones, Apps, and Enterprise Servers.

I think a lot of Computer tech departments, and businesses still use Blackberry because Blackberry is more secure than Android, Apple, and other devices because Blackberry products are designed to be secure, and for work.

First Samsung wants to buy Blackberry, now Apple... Where are all these rumors coming from? :ermm: I doubt the Blackberry has anything to offer, except for their BBM app, that Apple might want. Blackberry doesn't even have a voice assistant to compete with Siri. They bought a voice assistant app from another company.

There is Blackberry Enterprise servers which is useful for private business users, and government agencies like the police.

Business, and government contracts, and costumers can be very profitable long term because they don't follow fads, and don't like change, so they keep using the same software brands like Windows, MS Office, Redhat, and Debian Linux for many years.

BlackBerry Enterprise Server designates the middleware software package that is part of the BlackBerry wireless platform supplied by BlackBerry Limited. The software and service connects to messaging and collaboration software (MDaemon Messaging Server,[1] Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, Novell GroupWise) on enterprise networks and redirects emails and synchronizes contacts and calendaring information between servers, desktop workstations, and mobile devices. Some third-party connectors exist, including Scalix, Zarafa, Zimbra, and the Google Apps BES Connector, although these are not supported by BlackBerry Limited.
