Ar Nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star is a sci-fi role-playing game from Atelier developer Gust, and it's releasing in North America in two months.
Last week, it was unclear whether the game would even be released in NA. But Tecmo Koei announced that Ode to an Unborn Star is coming West Sept. 23, three days before its Sept. 26 European release date.
Ode to an Unborn Star emphasizes intersecting storylines, character relationships and dynamic combat, in a sci-fi/fantasy world where music creates magic. Players follow two pairs of characters: Delta and Casty, a duo protecting humanity after they lost their home planet, and Ion & Earthes, who are both trying to find their way home to Earth. Along with the ability to combine the two disparate storylines, players can also synthesize items for the groups to use in combat.
Gust, the developer behind the upcoming RPG, created entries in the Atelier series, such as Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of Dusk Sky and Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland, both of which also feature turn-based combat.
Ar Nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star is $50 USD for the PS3, and is available in both digital and retail versions –– Ar Nosurge Plus, the planned PS Vita version, has no specified release date.
