Are plug-ins/add-ons for blogs important?

Yes, I like mods which allow people to social bookmark, and share my blog posts with others more easily.

I think captcha codes can be very important on blogs to stop spammers and spambots from posting.

Automatic blog database plug-in backup is also important since if my database gets lost, I can reinstall all my posts quickly and easily.

I like plug-ins for new features that will appeal to users, and also for security so no scammers come to my blog.

I use a lot of plugins for security and additional functionality for my site! If I didn't have any plugins I'd be riddled with spambots and my blog would be way less interesting.

The only downside is that sometimes plugins break my blog instead of making it better.
