Are stand-alone wireless routers becoming less popular because of modems with built-in wireless/Wi-F

Most popular Cable and DSL ISP in my time just combine the modem and wireless router into one box for new high speed internet subscribers according to their websites for ordering internet service, and what you get.

I'm guessing, over time when most people switch ISP, or their modems break, and they need a new one, they will be forced to use an all-in-one modem and wireless internet combo box which their ISP sells them because it is the only modem available, or it is cheaper to buy one device instead of a modem and wireless router separately like how it is cheaper to buy an all-in-one printer with scanner, fax, copier then buying those devices separately.

I think my ISP has that but I didn't take it as they would charge you monthly vs me just buying a router for one price.

Strange, paying an extra monthly fee just to have wireless since it won't increase your internet datacap, or require extra staff to run wireless.

I think where I live if you subscribe to high speed internet from bigger companies, the wireless comes built-into the modem, and users don't get a choice if they want it or not since it is the only modem you can buy. I think there is no monthly fee to have wireless built-in to the modem.
