Are there still schools which still use Windows 7 to run older software and PC hardware?

I think there may still be some schools which use older software and computer hardware like printer and scanners which only work with Windows 7.

Well, as far as I know...many schools still use older version of windows.

They don't want to move onto a completely new software as of yet and it's completely understandable.

I know one college quickly upgraded to W10 and my other college was in the process of upgrading to W10 as I left. Though I would think MS would give them a free upgrade.
