The S pen is a very nifty stylus for the Galaxy Note line of Phablets. I bought a Note 2 because of the S Pen too. However, I hate noticed that the S Pen has a limited number of apps for it. The device is great, it could even recognize different levels of pressure. The problem is that no apps take advantage of the additional features that the S Pen provides.
I'm now trying to find some apps that could work well with the S Pen. Maybe I'm just looking at the wrong place. Any app suggestions you have?
I have a Note 3 and I haven't really used the pen for anything except a doodle once. I don't know how many apps there are that really use it. (To be fair though, I also am pretty new to Android too so it may just be a general lack of knowledge/experience all over here.)
A quick google search for s-pen apps though has lead me to this.
Sketch'em looks like it could be neat (an app that teaches you how to draw).
Myscript Stylus (Beta) could be useful to use the stylus to write but have the system recognise the characters and transfer them into computer font. (So instead of having your handwriting, it uses like Times New Roman. But still lets you write the notes/skip the keyboard.)
Myscript Calculator... able to write equations on screen and have them recognised and solved in real time.
If you don't have them they may be worth checking out.
Between these 2 apps, I have my Note 2 set up so that I can quickly write something down when I take out my S pen, and the app will close when I put it back and automatically save my work in Papyrus.
I wish there was an app that would allow you to make notations on pdfs using your S pen.
