Is Wireless a Health Hazard?
Question: Is Wireless a Health Hazard?
Answer: Some have speculated that prolonged exposure to wireless network devices can cause memory loss or other brain damage. Potential health hazards from the microwave signals of wireless LANs (WLANs) and Wi-Fi have not been validated scientifically, however. In fact, using Wi-Fi is most likely much safer than using a cell phone.
Health Risks from Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi transmits radio signals in the same general frequency range as microwave ovens. Yet compared to ovens and even cell phones, wireless network cards and access points transmit at very low power, anywhere from 100 to 1000 times less. WLANs also send radio signals only intermittently, during data transmission, whereas cell phones transmit continuously while powered on. Overall, the average person's cumulative exposure to microwave radiation from Wi-Fi is much, much less than exposure from other radio frequency devices.
Schools have nonetheless remained concerned about the health risks of wireless networks on children. A few schools have banned or limited the use of Wi-Fi as a safety precaution:

Lakehead University Restricts Deployment of Wi-Fi on Campus (2006)
Health Risks from Cell Phones

Scientific research into the effects of cell phone radiation on the human body also has produced inconclusive results. Some are adamant there is no health risk while others are convinced that cell phones increase the risk of brain tumors. As with Wi-Fi, some schools have considered banning cell phones due to radiation concerns.

I am concerned about the long term side effects on wireless signals on a persons help, but it won't stop me from using Wi-Fi, Wireless controllers, keyboard, mice (most wireless controllers also use radio signals to talk to consoles), Cell Phones, or other devices which uses radio waves.

I think by the time this is a problem we should be able to cure any effects hopefully.

There already is a potential problem of having brain cancer in cell phone users according to some doctors, researchers, and news report uploaded to Youtube.

I think curing brain cancer probably take many years to cure because it is very hard to cure, so people who already have brain cancer probably die before there is a cure which is sad.

Wi-Fi, wireless devices which uses Radio waves as well might have some risks of "human cell mutations" as well, but probably not as serious as Brain Cancer due to Cell Phones since Wi-Fi and other wireless devices are not being held against your body except for wireless controllers, keyboards and mice. Plus, they produce less radiation because they don't have to talk as far distances so the antennae strength is not as high.

I think I prefer Wired electronics and Infrared "light signals" more now.

I've heard about the brain cancer from cell phones, but I don't use cell phones much, so I wouldn't worry too much, ;)

^Same for me, I just use Cell phones when I need a ride home, or to ask "why, they are late coming somewhere", and other emergency situations.

I like using a regular phone or my computer to talk to people because it is cheaper, and has a bigger screen. I also heard you can make phone calls from Skype these days, and Magic Jack, so pretty soon I might not need a phone.

I saw on the news it is illegal to drive while holding a cell phone in some states. I think it is illegal in California, but I'm not sure.

I am concerned about cell phone signals, and I try to keep my cellphone away from me anytime I can. However, I'm not that much concerned about Wireless signals since most of the researches haven't proven anything against it yet. :)

that's good thinking since some people hug their phones to death.
