Some of the churches that we have always say that paying tithes is the way we can get more blessings from above. Do you always pay tithes or you have reservations about it?

Most of the churches are now focused on making more money instead of preaching about salvation. So, I agree with you.
I believe in paying tithes because it is the right thing to do as a Christian.

Some years ago, I used to obey everything the church says and do it all to the latter. Now, I know better. I don't give them a dime. I would rather feed the poor and homeless on my own.

When I was in the faith, I did it all, including tithing. I never appreciated them "pushing" it on people. We gave "time" as well & I think that can be just as important as money. Maybe that's why I'm set in my ways about no gifts in the physical sense but gifting "time" instead. While it can be hard to volunteer at some places, supporting local businesses & charities is the next best thing. I don't like giving to big charities as they tend to sell your name & who knows what that money is used for! So I like to give anonymously to local groups.

I learnt on the long run when you give to those who are in need closer to you, there will be a stronger bond when you see they're better than how you met them before giving them any help which you could. Giving anonymously is good too especially when you don't want any attention or recognition from anyone.I'm with you
