AT&T has been selling HSPA+ 4G devices for quite some time, but now the ambiguous branding can be associated with their new LTE coverage as well.

The high speed wireless service has been slowly trickling into certain areas but has now been officially rolled out to subscribers in San Antonio, Chicago, Dallas, Houston and Atlanta.

If you currently have a 4G branded AT&T smartphone, you are unfortunately not taking advantage of this new service, as your device is actually using HSPA+ technology.

At the moment, there are no LTE AT&T phones available, but feel free to take advantage of the speed increase if you happen to own their Momemtum 4G modem, Elevate 4G mobile hotspot, or HTC Jetstream tablet.

AT&T plans to roll out their LTE service to 15 or more additional markets by the end of the year.
