Retrogamers, rejoice! Atari arcade games and console games will be revived for play on the Nintendo DS in a brand new compilation. Retailers list Atari's Greatest Hits Vol. 1 for a November release at a $29.99 suggested retail price.

This doesn't look to be a repeat of the first Atari compilation on the Nintendo DS: Retro Atari Games was a remake of classic Atari titles, but Atari's Greatest Hits appears to be similar to the collection created for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox a few years ago: complete emulations of the original arcade and console code.

Screenshots on the retailer lists show games including Asteroids, Battlezone, Centipede, Gravitar, Lunar Lander, Missile Comand, Pong, Space Duel and Tempest arcade games, as well as 2600 renditions of games like Sky Diver, Sprintmaster, Stellar Track, and Realsports Football, Tennis and Volleyball. According to these screens, the compilation will feature a touchscreen menu system, including the ability to flick the A and B switches on the Atari 2600 during gameplay.

$30? too much for such old games.

I don't like Atari. They caused a huge crash with multiple shit games, like E.T. and Pac Man remake. But their newer stuff is far better than pre-00's.

I don't see any problems with these games, by the way.

But, I don't think people are going to buy it, lol.

I think that they're going to download the games to their R4 and play them, ;)
