Band Linked Horizon's single "Jiyuu e no Shingeki" was added to iTunes in North America on December 9. The single includes three tracks, including both openings for the Attack on Titan anime series. Songs include "Guren no Yumiya," "Jiyuu no Tsubasa," and "Moshi Kono Kabe no Naka ga Ikken no Ie Dato Shitara." Each track costs US$.99 or US$2.97 for the whole album.

The single was a best-seller in Japan, ranking #2 during its first week of sales and beating "Preserved Roses" by Nana Mizuki and T.M. Revolution. The single sold 129,110 total copies in its first week.

Linked Horizon is a relatively new project from Sound Horizon composer Revo. This is the first single or album from either Linked Horizon or Sound Horizon to sell over 100,000 copies. The band will perform in this year's Kōhaku Uta Gassen (Red and White Song Battle), the New Year's Eve singing contest that is Japan's most viewed music television program.

The first opening song was epic. I'm not a fan of the 2nd tbh.

And yeah, I listen to the Japanese songs (anime openings) when I'm IV breeding in Pokemon X/Y, lol   : P

The shortened version of OP2 used in the show is not amazing but the full version is incredible and moving. Funnily enough, OP1 sounds incredible in the shortened version but the longer one is kinda boring because the dynamics get too big too early on.

pretty much this, but I do hold both epic with the second song empowering me to grab a sword and cut down a giant.

And to those who enjoy Revo's work, check out his first group Sound Horizon's many songs.

I have listened to these easily 100+ times. I nearly have Guren no Yumiya memorized in Japanese.

I am also a fam of Jiyuu no Tsubasa, possibly even more so of Guren no Yumiya.

I do find it interesting though how both songs begin in German.

the band is known for their German lyrics. It's used a lot in Sound horizon's 7th horizon album.

The fact that they are getting recognition makes me happy. The first song was really awesome... I found the second one to be a bit "meh"... I know people who use the original Attack on Titan intro song as their ringtone. I've seen lots of covers of this song made on YouTube too.

the full version of the second song is better than the tv short version.
