With the announcement of James Cameron's Avatar, the internet as been squirming for more information regarding the legendary director's upcoming epic, as well as anything to do with the accompanying game. The most revealing item to have been released so far was the full movie trailer that arrived last week during Gamescom in Germany, but what we still don't know anything about is the PSP version of Avatar: The Game. Until now.
In the October issue of PlayStation the Official Magazine, a small section in the Avatar cover story is devoted to the portable version of the game adaptation. According to PTOM, the PSP version of the game casts the player as a Na'vi warrior (the blue-skinned, wide-eyed creatures) for the entirety of the storyline and follows the warrior after his village is destroyed by the RDA.
The game will also feature some connectivity between the PSP version and its PS3 counterpart. Players will be able to transfer "Effort Points" from the portable outing onto the console, which will give your characters a bit of a boost.
Although there's no other information to speak of, it's nice to see that more PS3/PSP connectivity is being implemented into third-party games.
