my local newspaper had a review on the movie and they said one thing that makes me not watch it. "they can not sum up all of the greatness of the cartoon in to a 103 min movie"

I agree. I thought about the same time while watching the preview on television.
Or, they could have made about 3-4 parts for the movie...

It might be a good introductory for people who never watch the Avatar series on TV. But, the visual effects look pretty cool, but the plot probably won't be as good.

I really shouldn't have said that as I was going from a review but from the sounds of it they are messing up the character developments and cramming probably what should be about 3 full movies worth of stuff into one.

It's on;y Book 1: Water, so it's enough, but they can't even pronounce the names right! They say Soeka, instead of Sokka. And Ong, instead of Aang. Plus they took out a lot.
