I still don't know where that tiger is... or what this commercial have to do with Xbox... Like, if they didn't put the Xbox outro at the end of the video, why would anyone mentally link it to a gaming console?

Xbox back then if I remember right, mostly had shooter games. Like halo.

I don't understand why it was banned since a lot of movie trailers for the Matrix, and video game trailers for Call of Duty are more violent.

This ad also did not relate a lot to Xbox for me.

But did those air on tv? :ermm: This XBox commercial was made exclusively for tv, I think...
The Matrix trailer aired on TV, and I remember seeing a few Call of Duty, and shooter game commercials on TV.

This was actually banned? :o I can understand the moral panic it might have had with the community if there had been any ACTUAL shooting involved, but this was just a bunch of adults, literally "playing pretend"! This getting banned bums me out a little. :(

Even from an advertising standpoint, it drove its meaning right through, and could have generated a lot of buzz by becoming viral (it really was funny, especially the part with the man in the car!). Its sad that such creative bits get censored by the media. :\

Apart from it being banned in times when violence on TV is far worse than this commercial, I assume the marketing department of Xbox at the time wasn't truly inspired to make a worthwhile commercial since this one, and I'm being utterly honest now, doesn't relate to Xbox at all. The only thing I could see about Xbox was that ending "Jump in" motto, accompanied by their logo and that was pretty much it. Really?
