The wait is over and after the somewhat last decent Batman Arkham Origins game, Rocksteady has finally announced Batman Arkham Knight and sadly it seems to be the last in the series. To make it even worse, the game is only for current gen systems of Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.

A few details were given on the game such as a big open-world Gotham (same size or bigger as Origins), drivable Batmobile and some of the villains in the game are Scarecrow, Penguin, Two-Face, and Harley Quinn. If you pre-order the game you can get a playable Harley Quinn DLC.

Here is a trailer of the game:

Will you buy a current gen system for this game?

Personally I would love to have this on last gen but looking this amazing....I would get a new PC for this game alone. I am sad though that is the final installment of the series. I would love to have seen more from Rocksteady but hey, it looks like this franchise is going out with a huge kaboom. The only thing I desperately hope for is that Rocksteady makes an incredible multiplayer mode

I just read up on the game and it will not have a multiplayer mode.

Rocksteady has made it clear that this is a single player game and will remain one.

Nothing new really, Rocksteady has always made their batman games only single player, Batman Arkham Origins is the only one with multiplayer and it was made by another team.

But regarding the news, I can't help but feel letdown that this is not only the final chapter in the arkham series, it is also only for next gen consoles (both of which I do not own). And my PC is completely crappy so I doubt I would be able to get it for that.

I've been holding out on getting a next gen console until more video games that I'm interested come out for both the respective consoles.

I just hope this game FINALLY has all of Gotham playable, I liked Arkham City and Arkham Origins but I felt both could have been so much better if it had let us play through all of Gotham rather than just resticted area of it.
