Betas are becoming more and more commonplace this generation, and Dice's upcoming first-person shooter Battlefield 3 is no exception.

At today's EA's E3 press conference, it was revealed that Battlefield 3 will have an open beta across all applicable platforms beginning this September. We'll have more details, including a more specific date, as further information becomes available.

Do you know if you have to pre-order the game to get in on the beta, or is it truly open to anyone? I'd play it, the gameplay trailer looks intense.
 
Awesome. It looks like it could be some fun. I hope that my laptop can run it well because if it does, I will be in this beta play. Thanks for informing me of this. I just need to remember come November. :cool:

I wouldn't think that you would have to pre-order. Usually one reason for these betas is to gain possible buyers. But I'm not sure, so I guess I still have the same question as you.
 
I'm really looking forward to this game, it just looks pure awesomeness, specially the graphics.. they look so damn real.

Battlefield is the best FPS game I have ever played. I've played it only on Xbox, but I bet it's same thing on other consoles and Pc. :) Can't wait for the third part!

I still don't understand how this game is directx 10, 11 only for PC, while it's released on Xbox 360 !
