Wow, $45 for a mini-desktop PC. I remember in the past a Windows XP tower PC with a 1GHz CPU, 512MB of RAM, and a decent 3D video card would of cost many hundreds to thousands of dollars.
The BeagleBone looks like a good PC for someone who can not afford a regular tower PC, but has a HDMI TV, USB keyboard, and mouse.
This PC looks good for using as a settop box for watching video, listening to music, casual mobile gaming, office work, web browsing and other daily activities which don't require a faster computer.
It also looks more user friendly than the Raspberry Pi which does not come with a Micro-USB power adapter, and slower specs, but cost only $35.
