Ok guys, I want to know what are some of the best characters that according to you guys, should be worth of mention in the forum. For me, Killua Zoldyck, L, Kaneda from Akira, Motoko Kusanagi and a big standout for Kaworu, a kid that in one episode made us love him.

I'm not sure if we're going best as in fighting wise or best as in our favorites. Fighting wise though my top three are Goku, Saitama from One Punch Man, and Kuro from Kurokami. I only remember the first fight scene, but I remember it being BA enough.

I agree with Motoko Kusanagi as the best from the ghost in the shell series. One of my favorite picks is Revy from Black Lagoon.

The best anime character isn't necessarily my favorite anime character. I'm proud to admit I love some trash characters actually lots
Perhaps the single best-written character I've seen is Light Yagami from Death Note. I hated the kid, but he was so amusing to watch, his descent to madness was epic and honestly made us realize why Ryuk decided to stay with him. Top notch entertainment for sure.
Runner ups are Shogo Makishima from Psycho-Pass (what's with villains being so interesting) and Erwin Smith from Attack on Titan.
Mainstream anime, I know.

I tend to latch onto many characters so this will be tough... But here we go:

My favorite character is Teresa from Claymore, she has a beautiful story, she's the one who help Clare to become a Claymore too and she sacrifices for her. I also love Reiko Tamura from Parasyte because when she got pregnant, she leaves her parasite essence and little by little became a human with true feelings. I don't want to make any other spoilers.

Hisoka from Hunter X Hunter. I think he is one of the best characters in anime though I have a lot in mind when it comes to anime.

For modern anime I would have to pick Ainz Ooal Gown of Overlord series also Kakashi and Orochimaru from the Naruto Series. Another of my favorites because of his intensity is Guts of Berserk.
