I think currently the Ouya is the best console for using to stream, and play media since you can install XBMC which is one of the best media player apps, and other Android media Apps to stream, and play media.
Ouya also only cost $99 which is the same price as a Roku, Apple TV, and similar media devices, but the Ouya comes with a controller instead of a remote, and is also an Android game console, so I feel using the Ouya mainly for media, and gaming is a better choice than a Roku and Apple TV which is more restrictive on what software you can install on it.
