Hello, and welcome to the 1st annual Golden Leaf awards!
I'll be awarding the best games of 2011

These are only the games I have played. The candidates are
Kirby Mass Attack
The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
Super Mario 3D Land
Mario Kart 7
Pushmo
Kirby's Return to Dreamland
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Rayman Origins

BEST GRAPHICS

I love the graphics in Kirby's Return to dreamland!
Everything is just so detailed, and animated really well. And the characters are so cute!

BEST MUSIC

the music in this game is so good,, I could listen to it all day!
From the new music, to the amazing Kirby Air Ride remixes, this game has the best music i've heard in a long time.

BEST STORY

The story in this game was good, and I loved how the characters developed (especially groose)
The Ending was great too!

BEST NEW HERO

Bandanna Waddle Dee! My favorite character ever. While he only appeared as a minor character and cameo before, In KRTD, he was a full character! He is just so badass and cute

BEST NEW VILLAIN

Ghirahim! He is a great new villain with a fabulous and funny, yet psychotic personality.
At first I thought I wouldnt like him, but after playing through the game, who wouldnt love him?

DS GAME OF THE YEAR


Well, this is the only DS game I played this year, but It is better than any last year too!
It's an amazing game! It has awesome gameplay, music, enemies, extras, and more!

WII GAME OF THE YEAR

This is a perfect game. Everything about it is great! I think it might even be my favorite Wii game ever!
It even managed to be better than Skyward Sword, in my opinion!

3DS GAME OF THE YEAR

This was a really tough choice between this and Mario Kart 7, but I chose this.
It's really fun and you can play it over and over without getting bored.

KIRBY'S RETURN TO DREAMLAND!
I think this is one of the best Wii games, if not the best. Everything abut it is perfect. Congratulations Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede, and Waddle Dee: you won!

"I OBJECT!!!!!"
Skyward Sword should win all the categories it could win in. (By the way, that synopsis of Ghirahim isn't included in my objection)
And Ocarina of Time should win best 3DS game. Just my opinion, mind.

Actually, I do challenge your synopsis of Ghirahim. Fabulous definitely suits his rather superficial first appearance, but funny he is not...
Just because he isn't a bulky giant who wears black robes doesn't mean he shouldn't be taken seriosly. That scene at the Temple of Time is far from funny, but fascinating. Ghirahim contains more power inside his lithe frame than any of the Ganondorfs. Also, I didn't find him funny, I found him genuinely creepy. Also, he's not psychotic, he's just obsessively single minded (and a funky dancer).

This gives me a random urge to start up a blog listing all the games that I've played this year.

You know for a minute I was thinking "wasn't Mass Attack released years ago?"
Then I was like.... "Oh wait, that's Mouse Attack".

So, how do people in the UK actually solve that problem? Imagine some from London.

Everytime he said something, I couldnt help but laugh though (especially his dance)
I still took him seriously though

What about Sonic Generations? Cut Sonic some slack he appeared in at least one 3DS game and it was pretty good you have to admit.

Did you read the beginning? It was only for the games I played.
I'm not much of a sonic fan, so I didn't play that one.

I'm still debating with myself if Mario Kart 7 should have won 3DS GOTY. It's such a tough decision

Mario Kart 7 is the best racing game I've ever played though....
