I don't think I've ever had a terrible Halloween. Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays out of the year and I'd hate for something to have ruined that holiday.
All of the Halloween's that I've experienced as a kid have all been good, that I can remember.

Mine were pretty good, never a bad one really other than getting to a few houses that had crap for handing candy out.
