So, as you guys might have noticed my favorite genre of games are RPGs. So what are your current most favorite Rpgs for PC?

I think the current fan favorite is still undertale.

yeah i looked at it but grapics put me off of it, how is it? Its gotten all around good reviews and alot of praise? Do you think its worth it to spend money on it?

You asked for Best RPG and i can say Dark Souls.

Cool, can i start from dark souls 3? Or which one is the best? OR do i have to play from 1 in order to understand it better like the witcher!

The best? Probably Witcher III, but I can't run it sadly. My friends however are thrilled and can't stop talking about it.

My favorite thus far: Maff Effect series. One of the few RPGs I got completely absorbed in when I played.

Bioware used to put out nothing but great RPGs. You can pretty much pick anything that made since Baulder´s gate 1 and it is a great game. Although like everyone else I was disappointed in the rushed ending to ME3, but it was still a great game.

I have to go with Skryim overall though as the best RPG. Beautiful world, great character advancement and open world gameplay.

Yeah, I'd probably go with Witcher III as currently the best RPG on PC. It's starting to feel like it'll have Skyrim level of longevity which is certainly a good sign, but we'll see.

Mass Effect is one of my favorites too, just a pleasant change of pace from the usual second world fantasy RPGs I'm used to playing. Plus, it's beautiful and easy to run.

Does the Witcher 3 count as an RPG? Well, you roleplay as a Witcher, a bounty hunter of both human and mythical creatures, and you are a member of a dying breed of hunters. Quests are MASSIVE and have branching effects later on in the story, or immediately after, which will leave you having to decide simple choices but have to think of the consequences that may happen. It has so many different endings to its enormous bag of quests, and all of the characters in the game are voiced too, so you will really be immersed with the video game experience. I would definitely recommend it to someone who hasn't played it yet, you will want to pay Witcher 3 ten more times just because it has so many content available in the game.

I guess I agree with Vladimir, The Witcher 3 is the best game in the RPG field now. Skyrim is the second best, and for people who prefer exploring game world to following the main quest/plot, it would probably be the best choice still - the in-game reality is breathtaking. I prefer The Witcher series, I never managed to play any of the Elder Scrolls to the finish (I started only with Morrowind), but completed the Witchers.

My personal favorite is Planescape: Torment, but it's a very old game now, so few people would grant it a place on the podium - in fact, if I have heard of Torment only now, I would probably be less interested too. I'm still looking forward to the upcoming sequel, but sadly, they keep postponing the release date, and I'm wondering if it will be released at all.

Wow, first time I hear about a possible sequel! Now that would be quite a refreshing new title if it keeps all the old tricks and unusual elements that made it stand out before.

Thanks for the info, I'll have to Google about out now.

It's not literally a sequel, the developers are calling it "a spiritual successor" (and that's good, the original sotry had a perfect ending and I don't think they could add anything), but it's supposed to have the same atmosphere and innovative gameplay as the first game. The devs kkep postponing the release, but I've read they've allowed some journos to play the beta version, which is supposedly very encouraging.
