I heard great things about the first game. Seems like this is a prequel and it looks fantastic. I am amazed at the animation and design of the animal features in the humanoids. I really want to play this game. Definitely I can sympathise with the desire of a remaster of the Gamecube title.
Looking forward to seeing more of this. I loved the original, despite never finishing it, so I'm really happy to see the sequel is still alive. I just want to see some gameplay before getting too excited.
The only gripe I have with this is that we didn't see any gameplay, and we all know how dangerous getting hyped over pre-rendered content is. That being said, I do think that what they did show was incredible. The trailer was beautifully done and if hype is what they were looking for, hype is certainly what they got.
Although I do have to laugh, I was watching the live stream at the time on YouTube, and the chat on the side just exploded with racist commentary about having a chimp and a black protagonist together. It was both hilarious and sad.
The first game is really underrated - ok, now it's more of a cult classic but still... We have been waiting years for this sequel, and finally we have getting one! It looks pretty good (maybe even too good), and I'm excited to see how the story contin... oh, it's a prequel? A prequel?! But.. why? Ok, maybe it will answer some questions about Jade and her past.
Also, since it's a prequel this means no Double H? I liked him!
Wasn't the original Beyond Good and Evil part of the Xbox 360 free games a while ago? I swear to god I've downloaded it on my Xbox... but I never played it before. I did hear good things about it though. The majority of people that played it only praised it so I think this addition to the series might do very good in terms of sales.
I did enjoy watching the trailer because it's very engaging and unique - also funny. The pig is a bit creepy though. He should shave off that mustache for sure. I might end up playing this game but first I do want to see a bit more.
Anybody notice that most stuff in the E3 showcase are either sequels or DLCs? Not nitpicking or anything, it's just a shame game devs would rather cash in on DLCs, microtransactions, ahem, paid mods, etc; rather than creating something new and exciting. I guess when the profit is the same - or even more - for a proven product, people would stay away from trying something new when it has a chance of failing. It's pretty sad when you think about it, but at the end of the day, they are getting paid with whatever they release.
