Square-Enix previously announced that it would host a huge event at PAX this week to celebrate the 25-year anniversary of the Final Fantasy series. The event -- open to the public -- will be held from 1PM to 9PM PT this coming Friday. Different games from throughout the series will be on display, and Square-Enix plans to give away a variety of prizes.According to Community Manager Robert Peeler, everyone in attendance will receive a 25-year anniversary poster featuring art from famed artist Yoshitaka Amano.
Later in the post, Peeler notes that a special video presentation will be given at 7:30PM PT by Yoshinori Kitase, Motomu Toriyama, and Isamu Kamikokuryo -- all critical staff in the development of Final Fantasy XIII and its sequel. The presentation will "reveal new details about the direction of Lightning's story."
