Don’t look now but Microsoft (MSFT), the company that cornered the market with word processing and spreadsheets, has finally become cool. According to research from YouGov, the software giant’s Bing search engine and new Windows products are making a big impression on consumers as the market research firm found that consumer perception of both Windows and Bing are at a two-year high.

I think Bing is a good search engine. It gives me good results for most basic searches, and it is easier to type in bing.com then google.com because bing.com have 2 less characters to type into the address bar, and it is a more natural sounding word like sing, and ring. I also like the background images on Bing.com .
Windows 8 new hip, and colorful design is probably doing its job at attracting younger people who like colorful tiles which are also animated to provide them with info.
