I wonder what will happen to the Blackberry Operating System if Blackberry phones are gone.

There is also a possible that Blackberry OS will be sold to other companies sort of like how Web OS by Palm was sold to HP, and HP latter sold it to LG. But, Web OS is now use for Smart TVs instead of Tablets and phones.

Kind of sad, you need more than one year for this kind of thing.

I don't really see Blackberry OS working on smart TVs. It's mostly a mobile OS and it would take a bit of investment to have it adapted for anything other than touch devices.

I think the user interface for Blackberry would not work very well for Smart TVs unless you use a tablet or smartphone as a remote.

But, the operating system may work well for Smart TVs once the user interface is changed to work with TVs, and devices which uses remotes. I think Blackberry OS runs more faster on slower hardware than Android and other operating systems which runs best on devices with 2GB of RAM, and a quad-core higher speed CPU.

The main problem with Blackberry OS is that it could not attract many app, and game makers because app and game makers spend most of their time making Apple iOS, and Google Android Apps.

I think Web OS is not popular with Smart TVs because it does not have as many apps, games, streaming video services like Netflix, and services as Android TV, Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV. People can also buy an older Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, and Fire TV for under $100.
