BlackBerry has confirmed today that it’s going to launch its first Android smartphone in South Korea at a launch event that’s scheduled for September 20th. However, the company is not going to establish regional offices like it did the last time around.
I wonder if Blackberry Smartphones will do well in Korea since the Koreans work hard, and Blackberry phones are mainly designed for workers who need to quickly reply to messages and e-mail in a secure way.
I think Koreans can still buy Blackberry phones in the past, but they had to use the internet to buy it, a less popular store which sold imported items, or travel to other countries to buy a Blackberry phone.
I saw some pictures and videos of Korean pop singers and celebrities using the Blackberry Priv and older Blackberry devices, so they somehow were able to get a Blackberry phone which was compatible with Korean cell phone service.
