Blizzard shuts down Nostalrius (World of Warcraft server)?

It let people play the game as it was before the recent expansions, and could be accessed here:

https://en.nostalrius.org/

Unfortunately, Blizzard seemingly didn't like it:

Yesterday, we received a letter of formal notice from US and french lawyers, acting on behalf of Blizzard Entertainment, preparing to stand trial against our hosting company OVH and ourselves in less than a week now. This means the de facto end of Nostalrius under its current form.

And yeah, people are pretty hacked off to be honest. Can't blame them, a lot of people prefer the older versions of WoW. And if Blizzard won't provide an official version they like, why not just allow these fan made ones?

So yeah, your thoughts on this?
