Gamepop Mini comes free with a $6.99 monthly subscription for games on TV.

GamePop Mini device will run Google Android Jelly Bean 4.2, connect to a TV with supplied HDMI cable and include 500 mobile game partners, including HalfBrick (Fruit Ninja, Jetpack Joyride), Glu (Blood Brothers) and kids app developer Intellijoy.

We have always planned on having a free console option. The biggest value of the GamePop service is its content – not the box.

Hardware costs have come down so fast that we’re able to undercut the rest of the market.

With the free promotion we’ve been doing in June we’re already seeing a ton of adoption. That volume then attracts more developers and therefore more and better content. It’s building momentum.

Cool, I like the size of the console, and it looks easy to setup since it just has 1 cable to plug into the TV. If you want to play a lot of Google Android, and iOS games, and already spend 7 dollars a month on mobile games, this could be a good deal since you don't need to buy a Game console because it is free with a $6.99 subscription.

I wonder if Gamepop Mini also have non-gaming apps like Hulu+, Netflix, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Kingsof Office for Android.

$6.99 for a console which can also double as a free settop box, and Google Android computer with 500 Paid game apps is a pretty good deal.

More console choices is good for casual gamers, and less-hardcore and mainstream gamers who don't want to spend 200-300 US Dollars on a Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Wii U, 3DS, and Vita because of their higher price tag, and $60 and up games which they don't like because they are into games like Tetris, Pac-man, Shadowgun, Riptide GP, Pong, Pinball, farming games, and block building games which this console can play.

The Game Pop Mini is a real console which is bundle for Free with a 1 year subscription of $6.99 a month which is $83.33 a year for 12 months of unlimited gameplay with 500 and more games for Google Android, and iOS  valued at $250 and up. It is like Netflix for games, but without the streaming part since Android, and iOS games are installed on a memory card built-into the console, or a SD card.

I'm pretty sure that deal is slightly worse than PSN+

But, you need to buy a PS3 to use PSN+, and this console is Free with a 12 month subscription at $6.99 a month like cellphones which you can keep after a 1+ year Cell phone service subscription. Plus, there are 500+ games which you can download and play with more games being added monthly by paying $6.99 monthly price like Netflix which has thousands of movies and shows for $7.99 a month.

PSN+ will not be usable without buying a PS3. Eventhough, Gamepop Mini is $6.99 a month, you need to subscribe to Gamepop for almost 4 years before spending $299(same price as PS3) on the subscription.

The cheap factor is also known in the short run because the Console is Free, and online subscription for 500+ games to play is only $6.99. $6.99 a month per year, is cheaper than an Ouya (currently the cheapest console on Sale) since you only pay $83.33 a year for Gamepop Mini to be able to play 500+ games a month, and get a free game console while an Ouya cost $99, and buying 500 games on the Ouya would cost 1-2+ thousands of dollars if every game cost  about $2-10 dollars each.
