Today, the company is announcing that the price for the console will be $129, and that it is extending its offer of giving the console away free of charge to the end of June “due to the high demand of pre-orders”.

GamePop combines a game console and controller with an all-you-can-eat annual subscription service that costs $83.88 (or $6.99 per month) and essentially allows buyers to play mobile games on their TV.

Gamepop sounds like a nice console for $129 which is cheaper than a good tablet, and phone . The all-you-can-play for playing hundreds of games for 6.99 dollars a month sounds like a fair price if you play a lot of paid mobile games a month. This kind of reminds me of Sega Channel, Onlive, but without the bandwidth, and always-online requirements.

According to the video, the console comes pre-loaded with 500+ games which are valued at over 200+ dollars, so this is good for people who don't have a fast internet services, or bandwidth limits since they don't need to individually download the 500+ games to the Gamepop.

Hopefully, there would be games from Gameloft, Minecraft, EA, SquareEnix, and other mobile game developers.

So you can download any amount of games per month with the subscription, or are you still paying for each game and a subscription like you would with owning a smartphone?

All games are bundled. I think most of the games are pre-downloaded to the hard drive already, or you have to download it yourself.

You pay a monthly fee, and you have access to all the games in Gamepop games library as long as you pay the monthly subscription. But, you need to use your own internet connection to download the games.

The video states it comes pre-loaded with 500+ games which are valued at $200 dollars if you buy them individually, and future games will be added to your subscription as more games are added.
