In the above video, it was revealed the next big Zelda game will see its release next year.

“We previously announced that we were aiming for a 2022 release for this game,” Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma said. “However, we have decided to extend our development time a bit and change the release to spring 2023. For those of you who have been looking forward to release this year, we apologize.”

Well, I'm very sad about it, but that's okay. This is year is so stacked with games anyway that it's not like it's the end of the world.

I'm sure they delayed it because they don't need any other big releases this year. Plus, extra development is never a bad thing.
True. I've seen so many people on Twitter complain that its taken them 5 or 6 years to make a sequel to a game with similar assets because it took them 2 to make Majora's Mask. But I don't think they understand that they didn't start working on the sequel until after the DLC and even still who cares. I love Majora's Mask, but I feel like if it had more than 2 years it could be an even better game. I hope BotW2 has a huge amount of hidden stuff in it like the first game where we'll keep saying "It's been X amount of time and I still didn't know that!"

Not to mention this is still part of the game list that got kneecapped by Covid.

I hope with this amount of time its quality. But that I am convinced would still be a given. Even if they leave weapon durability in the game.
