Bugs Bunny and the rest of the Looney Tunes gang have been out of the limelight for a while now, due in large part to the box office bomb that was Looney Tunes: Back in Action starring Brenden Fraser.
Deadline is reporting, however, that the studio is gearing up to bring Bugs and the gang into the digital age with a full-length live-action/CGI feature. Warner Bros. has hired Elf screenwriter David Berenbaum to pen a script centered on Bugs, with the hope of reviving one their most iconic characters.
CGI reboots of classic characters are quickly becoming a trend in Hollywood with Alvin and the Chipmunks performing well for Fox and a live-action Yogi Bear movie set to debut around Christmas.
As of now Berenbaum is the only name attached to the project, but I for one wouldn't mind seeing Michael Jordan and Bill Murray step back in to join the Tune Squad.
