Other Bungie is to be hit with layoffs

Bungie CEO Parsons has addressed today’s news in a public statement.

“Today is a sad day at Bungie as we say goodbye to colleagues who have all made a significant impact on our studio”. “What these exceptional individuals have contributed to our games and Bungie culture has been enormous and will continue to be a part of Bungie long into the future.”

It sounds like the next Destiny 2 DLC and their new Marathon game are going to be delayed as well.

Updates seem to point to even core team members getting the boot. It sounds like this is a ripple effect of PlayStation being restructured to lower costs. Of course, not much is confirmed.

The rumor mill is burning from all of this, sounds like Bungie got rid of anyone who was making a sizeable pay check. I think Destiny is done for.
