Bungie's Lars Bakken informed IGN last month the studio would be moving on from the Halo series after the release of Halo: Reach next year.
Now, though, it seems something has changed, or at least the studio didn't want to make it official just yet.
Bungie's PR director Brian Jarrard wanted to clear up Bakken's statement saying: "The clarification is we just don't know at this point. I'm not really able to speculate on what we're going to do after Reach," he told Videogamer.
Jarrard didn't offer up anymore details than that, however, he did say the studio is concentrating on Reach, and who knows, maybe they'll developer another Halo game, too.
"I think there's a lot of work just to get Reach done between now and next fall. At that point anything's possible. We're going to keep looking at making the games we want to make. Maybe that's Halo. Maybe it's not. We'll have to wait and see."

unless people lose interest in halo, it is far from being dead.
