BW2 NEW Genie Trio Formes Announced!

CoroCoro has revealed that Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landurus will all have new formes in the upcoming Black and White 2 games! It has not yet been deciphered how to unlock or what their typings will be, but the formes match the silhouettes found in the AR Searcher shown last month. More news on this as it is revealed.

The Genie Trio alternate formes must be caught in the 3DS EXCLUSIVE AR Searcher game. Finally, a 3DS exclusive in-game bonus detailed!

There will be a trainer facility in BW2 where you can battle trainers from previous games including (but not limited to) Lance, Volkner, Blue, Misty, and Steven. It is possible the rumors about Giovanni and Brock being in the game might mean they too are included in this trainer facility.

There will be another announcement on Pokemon Smash on May 20th, though it may just be footage on this info from CoroCoro.

amazing! I personally think new forms are awesome yay...at first when this game was announced I was upset it wasnt for the 3ds but now that there is 3ds exclusiveness I am super excited.

UPDATE:

Reflecting on this announcement, some of you may be aware that Kyurem had placeholders in the Pokedex for extra formes. Also, when Diamond/Pearl came around, they also left placeholders in the coding for the Pokemon released in Platinum. HOWEVER, they did not leave placeholders in the BW coding for these new Genie Trio formes. So what does that mean?

Firstly, and most likely, GameFreak can now introduce alternate formes without having to plan them years in advance. This is nice, but could also mean that they will keep churning out new formes and not new Pokemon. I agree that there are so many Pokemon that they need to focus on doing more with what they already have, but many trainers LIKE the idea of there being an infinite amount of Pokemon added each year and might dislike this trend.

Secondly, this could indicate that BW and BW2 will not be compatible for direct trades/battling. Since the new Pokemon is not programmed into the game, maybe the games cannot directly transfer. However, it could just be that the game prevents you from trading just these Pokemon or perhaps transforms them back to the origin state upon transfer.

Thirdly, (an idea introduced by PokeBeach) is that the new Genie Trio is nothing more than a gender change, as the originals were actually all male despite the norm of gender neutral legendaries. That way, the system did not need a specially programmed placeholder because it is the same Pokemon with the same stats and typing. This theory is also "supported" by the idea that the images make it look as though the Genies are wearing bras (see what I did with that "supported" pun?).

This theory would make me sad as a 3DS owner wanting a bonus. Again, all this is theory and assumptions made the small amount of information given at this time. The full story should be given on May 20th.
