Those of you who still play Calling All Cars, one of the first prominent PSN titles from famed producer David Jaffe, will be forced to play the game offline starting early next year.
When players log in to play the game, they are greeted with the following message:
QUOTE "On January 14, 2010 the servers for Calling All Cars will be taken off-line. We would like to thank ya for yar support," the message reads.
IGN's Greg Miller didn't take this news very well, telling IGN: "I've pretty much been on the PlayStation Network since its inception, and this is the biggest travesty I have ever seen," he said. "I can deal with the fact we haven't received a new avatar in years, I can deal with the lack of cross-game chat, and I can deal with the fact that Trophies are just catching on. However, I cannot deal with one of the PSN's greatest games of all time going offline."
